Application of Topologic Surface Methed in the Research of Active Faults

本文主要论述了地形面的概念及其在活断层研究中的应用。它对研究活断层的展布、活动时代、活动性质及活动幅度等具有重要的意义。

In this paper, the concept of topologic surface and the general deformation characteristics of topo-logic surface owing to tectonic activity as wellas the principal applied to the studies on active faults are introduced. It is considered that by means of the topologic surface method cooperated with field work fault parameters and its active intensity can be estimated,including fault trend and its length,fault nature, the largest and the recent displacements,the active history and the time of the recent activity as well as its active intensity.
