摘要
本文以766名大学英语学习者为研究对象,结合文献研究与40题项问卷调查,探讨其在习得过程中的负动机行为与表现,以及导致学习负动机的影响因子。实验数据显示,存在五类负动机影响因子,导致中国大学生外语学习动机衰退;并证明负动机是由外部影响因子"教师能力与教学风格"、"课程设置与学习材料"、"不完善的教学设备"与内部影响因子"内在兴趣缺失"、"有效学习策略缺乏"共同作用的结果,外部影响值略高于内在因素,其中"教师能力与教学风格"与"有效学习策略缺乏"这两大因素最具影响值。鉴于实验结果,本文试图为外语教师从反面审视自身教学能力提供实证借鉴,为教师减少或克服高校外语学习者学习负动机提供支持与建议。
Based on the findings taken from 766 university EFL learners in a 40-item questionnaire survey, together with literature review, this paper investigates learners' demotivating behaviors and their correlated factors. Five demotivators are extracted, indicating that external factors (Teachers' Competence and Teaching Styles, Curriculum and Materials, and Inadequate Facilities), combined with internal factors (Lack of Intrinsic Interest, Learning Strategies Deficiency), result in learners' demotivation. External factors influence more than internal counterparts. Teachers' Competence and Teaching Styles as well as Learning Strategies Deficiency turn out to be the most influential. Therefore, the present paper aims to provide tentative suggestions for college EFL practitioners to reflect on their pedagogy and minimize learners' demotivation.
