Both The City of Life and Death and Letters from lwo Jima had constructed myths of human nature from the perspective of others. While the perspective of others in The City of Life and Death is a bold attempt of communication between value concept of Chinese films and that of the World in the tide of internationalization, the perspective of others is directly originated from the outlook of human nature of the American mainstream ideology in Letters from lwo Jima. The universal outlook of human nature neglected particular human nature in specific historical and cultural environment, evaded interpretation to the heavy real history and caused misreading in the Japanese culture.
