Due to recent financial troubles and the sheer amount of creditors owed,on February 3rd Dong Shunsheng,chairman for the Liren Group, and other company executives were detained on suspicion of illegal private fundraising.According to reports by the company,the company owes 2.2 billion yuan to nearly 4600 creditors. Over the past ten years the educational schools established by Dong Shunsheng through private fundraising have quickly become famous. However,this education company's expansion into real estate and mining investment have in the end caused the company to collapse under its own weight.The question that remains now is: who should be held responsible for the company's remaining outstanding debt?
