Quality of higher education: an inquiry

关于高等教育质量概念的研究和界定学界众说纷纭。对于高等教育质量的研究,需要回答高等教育的本质,需要从内部与外部、过程与结果、时间与空间几对关系进行考察,最终回归提升人价值的高等教育本质。在中国高等教育大众化时代背景下,应该固守精英教育,继续推进高等教育大众化,以保证高等教育的质量。

There are different opinions on the concept of higher education quality.To answer the question of what the quality is,we have to answer the question of what the essence of higher education is.We need to analysis pairs of relationships between the internal and the external,process and result,time and space and then return to the essence of higher education： elevating people＇s value.In the popularization of Chinese higher education,we should stick to the elite education on the one hand,and continue to promote popular education on the other hand.Only so can we guarantee the quality of higher education.
