Cake breaking active carbon is a new product of active carbon. The technique is first to grind raw coal, mixture with catalyst and high pressure briquette. After a breaking, screening, carbonizing and activating, then cake is pressed and broken into active carbon. The paper has screened and tested the cake breaking active carbons produced with typical type coal. The results of the analysis and test shown that the cake breaking active carbon produced with coal has methylene blue, high bulk property, high developed porosity and other features. The active carbon is excellent in adsorption performances and is suitable for water treatment and other liquid application.
