In Republic, by using ＂cave metaphor＂, Plato explained the division of two worlds, discussed the ne- cessity of the shift of soul, and elaborated the connotations of the theory of idea. ＂Cave metaphor＂ is the deepe- ning and summary of Plato＇ s theory of idea, representing his general idea, and it also implies the beginning of western philosophy which is the base of western metaphysics.
