摘要
Stern英语学习模型阐释了社会环境经由学习者个人特征和学习条件对英语学习全过程的影响。就中国现阶段的英语教学而言,客观环境不以个人意志为转移,英语教师和学习者只能改变学习者个人因素,与客观环境积极互动,寻找和利用环境中既存的有利因素促进英语学习。日益普及的汉英公示语就是中国英语学习者可以充分利用的有利因素,将其引进英语教学,可以知情统一、以情优教,具有极高的教育教学价值。
Stem's Model of Second Language Learning (SLL) illustrates how social context, through learner characteristics and learning conditions, influ- ences the whole processes of English learning. The English teaching environment in China will not be changed on our terms; as a result, English teachers and learners have to change the learners; subjective factors and interact positively with the objective environment and make good use of the existing advantages to im- prove English teaching and learning. The increasingly popular Chinese--English signs are such advantages English learners can make use o[. It is of high educa- tional value to introduce them into English teaching and learning.
