摘要 这一次,互联网正在打磨影视产业的门槛,把用影像讲故事的机会平摊在每一个有梦想有本事的青年面前。 Sitting in a chair at the director's position, Jia Zhangke, a well-known director in China, is carefully inspecting a series of micro movies named Love Association. He showed special interests in "micro movies" in 2011: 17 micro movies were produced by his company Xstream Pictures, and some 30 others from 10 clients were being negotiated. In the meantime, not only Chinese directors and entertainment stars, even world famous directors are also trying their micro movies. What are micro movies? Are they short films seen on the Internet? Why are major directors so interested in producing the low-cost "side dishes" for online distribution? The popularization of the Internet, especially mobile Internet, and the improvements in broadband and video technologies have provided the basic technology platform for micro movies. As micro films hit the Internet, the traditional filmmakers have realized that the Internet is a non-negligible distribution platform, and as the production, distribution and marketing platforms are being improved, better contents are called for. This is a C-era (the connected era): small screens of PCs, TVs, smart phones and panel computers are attracting our vision and attention, time are fragmented and fast interaction and entertainment experience will get more popular. How can filmmakers utilize the new platforms? How will the future of movies be like? Nobody can tell. But one thing for certain is that, as the greatest variable for movies in the mobile connection era, the low-cost and unfancied micro movies may be a start for the evolutions in the film industry.
