摘要
上海法租界巡捕房对维持上海法租界本地治安和维护法国在华势力起了极为重要的作用,而华人巡捕又是上海法租界巡捕房最重要的组成力量。本文通过抽样分析研究上海档案馆所藏102名法租界华人巡捕的工作档案,试图还原他们的工作待遇以及职业稳定性。本文揭示了华人巡捕在法租界捕房中被统治被管理的基层工作者形象及其郁郁不得志的政治地位,同时由于巡捕职业归属感和职业道德的缺失使得帮会势力和各种政治势力渗透进入,造成了华人巡捕的鱼龙混杂和贪污腐败等问题,而工资收入未能随着生活成本的提高而调整,导致了大量人才流失,从而致使巡捕这一职业的专业化和稳定性下降。
The Police Station in the French Concession is under the direct leadership of French Consulate in Shanghai. Chinese policemen were an important part of the French Police Station in the French Concession which played an extremely important role in maintaining local safety and French force in China. Based on the archives of 102 Chinese policemen in the French Concession, this paper reveals the working image of the Chinese policemen at the grassroots, their frustrated political roads, as well as problems resulting in the decrease in stability and specialization of this profession.
