The application of the chemical method for the determination of protein, i.e. by the photometric determination of the large molecule ion association complex formed between protein and a complex of certain metal ion with a organic dye compound, is reviewed in this paper. A systematic description on many new reaction system developed in recent years are given with 14 references.
