A pulse electric shock instrument has been invented for the study on mutagenicity of barley and wheat.The instrument was used to give electric shock to barley or wheat plants at jointing or booting stage.As a result, variations were found in cell examination and progeny plants survey. The making up,the special features,and the actual effect of the instrument are discussed.
