Early Civilization Elements in the Prehistoric Archaeological Discoveries of Anhui

安徽地区史前考古起步较早,考古工作者在这里发现了大量的新石器时代考古遗存,有些遗存中包含着丰富的早期文明因素,其中,双墩陶符、凌家滩礼玉和尉迟寺聚落形态最为典型,对于研究江淮地区早期文明起源的形式、内容及其与黄河、长江流域文明的关系有着重要的意义,值得考古工作者重视。

Prehistoric archaeology began to develop earlier in Anhui province. The archaeological workers have found many neolithic remains in Anhui, some of which contain abundant elements of early civilization. Shuangdun pottery signs, Lingjiatan ritual jade and Yuchisi settlement pattern are of typical significance to study the forms and contents of early civilization origins in Jianghuai area and their relation to the civilization in the drainage basin of the Yellow River and the Yangtze River, calling for more attention from archaeologists.
