为传统名花绣球和粉团正名

Name correction for the traditional flowers of "Xiuqiu" and "Fentuan"

为纠正植物学专著对传统名花"绣球"和"粉团"的错误考订,恢复它们的本来面目,进行了文献考证和实物比对。结果表明,《中国植物志》中的粉团Viburnum plicatumThunb.实乃典籍中的绣球;而该书的绣球Hydrangea macrophylla(Thunb.)Ser.,才是真正的粉团(该种曾称"八仙花",更谬甚)。本文还对它们混淆的根源作了探讨。

In order to correct the misused names for the traditional flowers of ＂Xiuqiu＂ and ＂Fentuan＂ in Chinese botanical books, literature studies and real object comparisons were conducted. Results show that ＂Fentuan＂ （ Viburnum plieatum Thunb. ）recorded in Flora Reipublicae Popularis Sinieae should be ＂Xiuqiu＂ described in ancient Chinese botanical books, and＂Xiuqiu＂（Hydrangea maerophylla（ Thunb. ）Ser. ）recorded in the flora should be ＂Fentuan＂. It was totally wrong that ＂Fentuan＂ was ever called ＂Baxianhua＂. In the meantime, the reasons of misusing of these plant names are discussed in the paper.
