王公仪是北宋时代甘肃人,活动于宋神宗前后,官至左中散大夫,同司马光有来往,但其政治生活中体现出较明显的改革与法治思想。关于其生平,以往志书多有疏误,甚至所发现碑文中也有些错误。王公仪能诗,这也是以往学者们所不知道的。

Wang Gongyi,a Gansu native,lived in the period of North Song and had communications with Sima Guang.Wang manifested obvious trend to reform and clear legal ideas in his political life.Little is known about Wang＇ s life,and even some mistakes have been confirmed in tablet inscriptions found.Wang could write poems, which was not known by the scholars in the past.
