This paper discusses the basic concept and principle of thermo-mechanical rock fragmentation in details,describes the basic method,test equipment and test bit applied to the field engineering test of thermo-mechanical rock fragmentation,and also discusses the designing purposes and principles about drill string of thermo-mechanical rock fragmentation.It makes a detailed analysis on the data of field engineering test,and finally it presents the experiment conclusion.
