白蚁对捕食性天敌的防御机制研究进展

Review of termite defense mechanisms against predators

捕食性天敌是自然界中控制白蚁种群数量的重要因素,在长期的进化过程中,白蚁也进化出许多防御机制。本文从白蚁巢的防御、兵蚁的防御、工蚁的防御和白蚁的防御报警四个方面综述了白蚁对捕食性天敌的防御机制。同时,本文也探讨了怎么利用白蚁防御机制相关知识,来可持续控制白蚁对人类经济和生活造成的危害。

Predator is the important factor to influence the termite populations in nature, and therefore termites have evolved many mechanisms for defensing the predator in the long process of evolution. This paper reviewed the defense mechanisms of termite against predators, including the defenses of termite nests, defenses of soldiers, defenses of workers, and alarm - defense mechanisms of termites. At the same time, this paper discussed how to utilize the knowledge on termite defense mechanisms to sustain- ably control the termite infestation to economy and life of human.
