This reviews the application situation and developmental prospects of tungsten in chemical industry, including special steel of chemical equipment, corrosion inhibitors and tungsten-containing catalysts. The application of tungsten in new energy is discussed. Since tungsten-containing catalysts are widely used in the areas of petrochemical and environmental protection and exhibit the tendency of multiplier increasing, the recycle of tungsten and the other valuable metals from waste catalyst is also imperative under the circumstances.
