As the development of the new media era,teachers pay more and more attention to the cultivation of students’ multiplex mode reading ability.English teaching has its new features and tasks in the new media era,teachers can adopt effective auxiliary method like guidance,guide,and critical interpretation in English reading teaching,improve the multiplex mode reading ability of students through a variety of tools and various symbols integration,and finally promote student’s critical thinking ability and the formation of cross-cultural awareness.
