面孔识别中异族效应研究综述

A Research Review of Alien Race Effect in Face Identification

面孔识别中的异族效应是指个体对于本族面孔的识别和记忆成绩要显著高于异族面孔。认知和社会心理学近40年来对异族效应的一系列研究证明了异族效应的存在和其强大影响。本文旨在已有文献基础上综述异族效应产生的原因及探讨如何降低异族效应。

Otherrace effect in face recognition is the tendency for individual of one race to have more difficulty recognizing and memorizing faces of members of other races than their own. For nearly four decades, a series of studies explored in the fields of Cognitive and Social Psychology has shown the existence and powerful impact of otherrace effect. This paper,based on the existing studies, disseussed the causes of otherrace effect and the ways to reduce otherrace effect.
