英语中的意合与汉语中的形合——论形合与意合的相对性

Parataxis in English and Hypotaxis in Chinese——The Relativity Between Hypotaxis and Parataxis

在形合意合论题研究中,"英语重形合,汉语重意合"已是受到普遍认同的论断。然而,其相对性,即英语中的意合与汉语中的形合现象,却仍未得到足够的关注,由此难免导致研究的片面倾向。本文将着重探讨英语意合与汉语形合的现象和理据,力求辩证、完整地探索该论题的价值。

In the study of hypotaxis and parataxis,it is generally agreed that ＂English is hypotaxis prominent; while Chinese, parataxis prominent＂. However, the relativity of it,that is, parataxis in English and hypotaxis in Chinese, has not been paid enough attention to,which inevitably leads to a onesided tendency for the study. Therefore,this study will focus on the manifestation of parataxis in English and hypotaxis in Chinese, and the factors affecting the choice of them,in order to explore the full value of this thesis dialectically.
