《长生殿》与《桃花扇》中的兴亡意识和民族情绪

明代后期,文坛重爱崇情,浪漫思潮一时颇为盛行。许多文学作品将写情放在了首位,《长生殿》和《桃花扇》亦是如此。《长生殿》对李、杨的爱情悲剧给予了无限同情,不但对李、杨两人的爱情加以美化和净化,而且特别宣扬一种"一悔能教万孽清"的思想;《桃花扇》以侯朝宗和李香君的爱情故事为线索,反映了南明弘光王朝从建立到亡国的短暂历史过程,描绘出明清易代时的广阔社会生活画卷。言情谈爱之余,二剧均表现出浓厚的兴亡意识和民族情绪,这也正是明末清初那个复杂历史时期时人情感心绪的艺术展现。

The literature in the late Ming Dynasty is mostly themed in love stories; as a resuh, romantic i- deas become very popular. Many novelists give priority to love affairs. Palace of Eternal Youth arid Peach Blossom Fan are two cases in point. The former describes the tragic love between Li and Yang, while the latter is famous for the love between Hou Chaozong and Li Xiangjun. However, both plays contain deep crisis consciousness and national sentiments. This is the result of the artistic expression of the sentiments at the complicated historic period of the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties
