把全国高等医药院校的德育工作再向前推进一步——在高等医药院校加强德育工作研讨会上的讲话

Taking Further Steps to Intensify Moral Education in Higher Medical and Pharmaceutical Colleges and Universities

这次有全国部分高等医药院校参加的德育工作讨论会,是由国家教委联合卫生部、国家医药管理局和国家中医药管理局共同召开的。主题是研究如何加强高等医药院校的德育工作,真正做到把德育放在学校各项工作的首位.要召开这样一次会议的想法由来巳久,各有关方面也做了大量的准备工作,现在正式召开。

In the past ten years since practising the policy of reforming and opening to the outside world some achievements have been scored,but associated with quite a few problems concerning moral education in higher medical and phar- maceutical education institutions.dhering to the socialist orientation of school-running and the state educational policies,putting moral education in the first place and emphasizing medical ethics and the fie etyle of medical work are mandatory in turning out the advanced and specialized personnel for our socialist modernizafion.Henceforth,the relations between moral,intellectual and physical education should be correctly handled.For students' education the necessity of Marxist theory,upholding the four car- dinal principles,integrating themselves with workers and peasants and pro- fessional morality should be reinforced.The teachers'role in imparting knowledge and educating students and in political guidance for students should be fully played.Great efforts should be devoted to consolidating and organizing ideological-political-moral educational contingents which are made up mainly of full-time members and also of part-time ones.
