Bridge the Gap Between Architecture and Social Demand:Review of Researches for Modern Hospital Design in UK(1)

英国由政府承担医院运营和建设,为保证所建医院社会效益最大化,英国"自上而下"推动面向社会需求的设计研究开展和实验项目的建设,研究成果推动其现代医院建筑理性演进。中国以"移植"西式医院为基础的当代医院设计实践因本土系统研究匮乏而缺乏批判性和创造性,为此,本文对英国研究进行综述性译介,希望对国人认识现状、深入借鉴有所助益。

British central government affords healthcare service and hospital constructions over the whole country. To maximize investment efficiency, there forms a ＂top-down＂ power to push forward researches for hospital design as well as push demonstration projects realized, according to demands from UK society. Evidences gained from these contribute to rational evolution of modern hospitals in UK. Yet, the mainstream of modern hospital development in China is based on ＂transplanting＂ the western ones. China lacks of sufficient local research systematically which leads to the shortage of creativity and criticalness in practice. Thus, this essay briefly reviews British literatures of the researches, which is aimed to help readers to know where we are, and what is worth being dug from them.
