常州市快速公交的实践与探索

Exploration and Practice of Changzhou BRT

快速公交具有速度快、容量大、建设周期短、造价低等优点,国内许多城市已经建成,或正在考虑建设快速公交。回顾了常州市快速公交系统的发展历程,探讨了快速公交在城市公共交通体系中的功能与定位,指出快速公交与轨道交通是相互补充的,快速公交可以作为轨道交通的延伸、补充和过渡。分析了快速公交系统的运营效果,快速公交在支持城市发展、优化居民出行方式结构、改善居民出行环境等方面有着重要的积极作用。最后,总结了快速公交系统规划设计和运营过程中的经验与教训,并指出一个成功的快速公交系统需要系统化的思路,从规划设计、选线到运营组织与运行保障体系。

Bus Rapid Transit(BRT) has the advantage of high speed,large capacity,short construction period and low cost.Many cities have BRT and some other cities are considering the construction of BRT in China.The paper reviews the development process of Changzhou BRT,discusses the function and location of BRT in urban public transport,points out that BRT and urban rail transit are complementary and BRT can be taken as the extension,supplement and transition of urban rail transit.The effect of the operation of BRT is analyzed and BRT plays an importantly positive role in supporting the development of a city,optimizing the structure of travel modes,improving the travel environment and etc.Finally,the paper summarizes the experience and lessons in the process of the planning,design and operation of BRT,and points out that a successful BRT system requires systematic thinking from planning and design,selection of route,operation organization to security system.
