王充及其文章观在现当代得到的主流评价是很高的,但王充及其文章观是否真应该有这么高的地位却是另外一回事情。总体说,王充主张颂汉颂今,这对其文章功用观打上了巨幅的阴影,而其真实观也大多停留在经验真实的层次,他的文章创新观一味主张创新,却又违背了人类以故为新的创新常态。

Wang Chong and his literary thought are highly praised by the circle of the contemporary critics.However,whether Wang Chong and his literary thought should gain such extraordinary merit and position in literary history is another thing.Generally speaking,Wang Chong is in favor of the high praise of both the Han Dynasty and the present of his time.Thus great shadow was cast upon the utility of his literary thought,and the verity of his literary thought mostly remains empirical.The innovation of his literary thought he proposed was only for innovation,and it goes against the inherent law of innovation exalting the old and inhaling the new.
