本文介绍了中国著名古生物学家戎嘉余院士的古生物学翻译活动、翻译研究、翻译方法、对科技期刊的国际化以及翻译人才培养的看法,旨在对我国的古生物学翻译研究、科学翻译理论的建设、科学翻译人才的培养和科技期刊的办刊问题提供富有价值的参考。

This paper is devoted to a study of Rong Jiayu, a paleontologist as a translator, including his translation activities, translation methodologies, his views of the translation effect and internationalization of Chinese scientific journals, and the training of scientific translators. The objective of this research is to provide the translation circle with valuable suggestions regarding translation of paleontological literature, development of a scitech translation theory, training of sci-tech translators, and translation in the editorial process of scientific journals in China.
