Research on the Development of US-Taiwan Investment Relationship

冷战时期,美台投资关系由美国对台单向投资逐渐转变为美台双向投资,美台投资关系对台湾对外投资关系举足轻重。冷战后,美台双边投资关系继续发展,总体来看呈现波动性增强的趋势,美国对台湾投资金额、台湾对美国投资金额从整体上持续增长,美台双边投资关系占台湾对外投资、外资入台的相对比重呈下降趋势。21世纪以来,美台投资关系的"不景气",表面上看似乎主要是受全球景气循环大气候的影响,但实质上却是台湾经济本身结构性矛盾运动(包括两岸投资关系迅速发展等因素)的结果,而世界经济衰退、岛内社会政治动荡等因素则起着推波助澜的作用。

During the cold war,investment relationship between USA and Taiwan gradually transformed from one way investment to bilateral way investment.Investment relationship between USA and Taiwan is important for Taiwan＇s foreign investment relationship.After the Cold War,USA-Taiwan bilateral investment relationship continues to develop,which shows the trend of volatility increase overall.The amount of USA investment in Taiwan and the amount of Taiwan investment in USA continues to grow as a whole.However,the bilateral investment relationship of US-Taiwan shows the trend of decrease in Taiwan＇s foreign investment.Since entering the 21st century,the USA-Taiwan investment relationship emerged ＂recession＂.It ostensibly appears to be mainly affected by the global economic impact of climate cycles,but in fact,it is the result of the structural contradictions of Taiwan＇s economy itself（including the rapid development of cross-strait investment relationship and other factors）.However,the world economic recession,the social and political unrest of Taiwan Island and other factors accelerate it.
