摘要
雕塑本来就是一种空间艺术,它以空间来体现、实现造型的目的并赋予造型所涵盖的审美意义,雕塑的成功与否完全取决于塑造者对空间的认识,在被解读的过程中亦取决于观者对空间的理解。雕塑的空间与其他艺术的空间有所区别,比如绘画是以透视的方式建造“假三度空间”,所以绘画究其本质来说是平面艺术,而雕塑则是实实在在的立体空间。
The article has listed substantial cases created by artists such as Henry Moore, Giacometti, Duchamp, Calder, Kaprow, Beuys, etc. in order to demonstrate how sculpturedevelops from static three-dimensional space into dynamic multi-level space, which is thought be the inevitable result of thought revolution, technological revolution and theconstant development of sculpture technology, and finally it comes to the conclusion that any definition on sculpture is not unchanging, but is always developing.
