Situation and Future of Optical Fiber Communications Technologies in China

摘要 光纤通信是我国高新技术中与国际差距较小的领域之一。光纤通信在我国起步较早,经过20多年的发展,已经成为目前通信网中最主要的传输技术。在人类社会跨入21世纪之际,本文扼要回顾我国光通信走过的历程,并从光纤光缆、光器件、光传输设备和系统等几方面介绍光通信的研发、工程应用现状。 Optical fiber communication is one of the areas that are less difference with international level of high technologies. Optical communication technology research is start more early in China, that is the major transmission technology now in China communication networks after developing of more than 20 years. This paper review the progress of optical communication in China when we are going to 21st century, and situation introduction of research, development and application of optical communications from optical fiber and cable, optical devices and components, optical transmission equipment and systems point of view. Potential applications of optical communication in China is described, that will excellent us to do more contribution for national optical communication industry of our country.
