摘要
为了实现实时甚低比特率视频软件编解码器,在低比特率视频编码标准H263的基础上,研究了提高编码效率和运算速度的关键技术.提高编码效率的技术有改进的PB帧、先进的帧内预测编码和先进的预测模式等;而提高运算速度的关键技术主要是采用多媒体增强指令集技术等.所研制的甚低比特率视频软件编码器不但具有实时性而且恢复图像质量良好.
Based on baseline H 263 video coding, this paper studies some key technologies of software VLBR video encoder to increase its coding efficiency and to reduce its running time. Some refined coding methods, including Improved PB frames, Advanced Intra Coding and Advanced Prediction Mode, are used to improve the coding efficiency. To speed up coding computation, MMX technology and some algorithms, which reduce running time, are introduced. According to the experimental results, the scheme of software VLBR video encoder (10~ 12 kbit/s ) with real time characteristics is determined, by which the reconstructed picture quality is also good.
