Objective: To investigate the correlation of FOXC2-512C>T gene polymorphism with serum lipids in Mongolian people with metabolic syndrome(MS)so as to provide a scientifically experimental basis for early diagnosis, treatment and prevention of MS.Methods: FOXC2-512C>T gene polymorphism was examined by allele-specific polymerase chain reaction sequence(PCR-SSP),with level differences in triglycerides(TC),cholesterol(TG),low density lipoprotein(LDL),high density lipoprotein(HDL) compared among different genotypes. The correlation of FOXC2-512C>T polymorphism with dyslipidemia in MS patients was analyzed as well. Results: There was no significant difference in all determination indicators discussed above among the three genotypes groups of C/C,T/T,T/C.Conclusion: FOXC2-512C>T gene polymorphism is not correlated with dyslipidemia in Mongolian MS patients.
