According to a recent survey we conclude that the causes that students in middle schools can＇t do their learning well in science lie in that most of the slow learners have bad learning habits.Therefore,it is worthwhile to look into the causes and find the cures.The paper puts forward some suggestions to tackle the problems.First of all,teachers should help students get rid of the fears in learning the subject and give them much encouragement.Then,teachers have to design exercises of different levels.Meanwhile,these exercises should be graded in a smart way so as to help them form good learning habits.Peer support is a very important factor in helping them.Last but not least,teachers have to make students＇ parents be aware of the importance of a good learning environment at home for their kids and get them involved as well.
