This paper introduces the basic principles and design method of displaying Chinese characters by Chinese characters display system based on FPGA in 16x16 dot matrix display; expounds design principle of Chinese characters display system based on FPGA, analyzes ways of designing cycle display of Chinese characters with simpler method, combining with an example; finally the Block Diagram / Schematic File and part VHDL source file are given.
