A study on the characteristics of seaward channels in theHangzhou Bay has been carried out based upon the geographicinvestigatidn, analysis of tidal current, sediment and pluvialprocesses, and measurement of seaward channels in water depth.These informations might be useful choice of seaward channels inthe Hangzou Bay, delimiting the optimize size of water depthwhich is located in the North channel and south channel, ascertianoptimize developed plan of seaward channel and development andconstruction of seaward channel and harbour in the Hangzhou Bay.
