曼彻斯特大学MATIS项目对我国MTI培养的启示

Introduction to MATIS of the University of Manchester and Its Illuminating Effects on MTI in China

中国的翻译硕士专业学位(MTI)教育始于2007年,目的是为了培养高层次、应用型、专业性口笔译人才。在研究《翻译硕士专业学位研究生指导性培养方案》和调查部分试点单位培养现状的基础上,笔者在学分要求、学习期限、开设课程和学业评估4个方面,比较了中国MTI专业硕士学位和英国曼彻斯特大学笔译和口译硕士专业学位(MATIS),目的是为中国的翻译硕士专业学位教育建言献策。

Starting from 2007, the MTI program in China aims at nurturing first-rate, practical and professional translating and interpreting talents. Having analyzed Guiding Syllabus for MTI Education and investigated status quo of some universities that offer MTI on a trial basis, the paper compares MTI with MATIS of the University of Manchester in terms of credits requirement, education duration, subjects offered and assessment with the hope of providing some suggestions to the further development of MTI education in China.
