摘要
知识框架(Knowledge Framework)(Mohan,1986)是支撑以内容为依托教学(简称CBI,Content-based In-struction的缩写)的重要概念,它贯穿在所有学科的思维技能中,可以将语言和内容通过6个"知识结构"(KnowledgeStructure)组织、结合起来。知识框架可以有效地帮助教师在教授学生学科知识的同时发展学生的语言能力。本文将介绍知识框架的产生背景和概念,总结其近年来在教学中的发展和应用,以期为国内外语教学带来启发。
Knowledge Framework ( Mohan, 1986 ) is a key concept in content-based instruction. It is a system underlying subject area knowledge and thinking, combining language and content through a set of six "knowledge structures" that underlie the thinking skills of all disciplines. Knowledge Framework is a useful theoretical perspective for teachers to help the learners to master the academic content while developing language. This paper will review the context of Knowledge Framework, its definition, development, application, and its implications to foreign language teaching in China.
