论张恨水小说的文化艺术品格

On Cultural and Artistic Characteristics of Zhang Henshui's Novels

张恨水是在中国传统文化的规约下走上通俗小说创作道路的,其小说在回目安排、叙事结构、艺术表现、人物形象、文化思想价值等方面都打上了传统的烙印。但他在传统文化的外围也有受现实触发的"现代"成分,其小说创作又具有强烈的现实精神,并在小说的艺术追寻上呈现出现代的特征。这最终形成了张恨水小说新旧合璧、传统与现代融合的文化艺术品格。

Zhang Henshui began to create popular novels under the constraint of traditional Chinese culture. Traditional imprints are reflected in the following aspects in his novels： chapter arrangements, narrative structure, artistic expression, depiction of characters, values and other aspects of culture and ideology. Nevertheless, his works are also subject to the influence of the ＂modem＂ ingredients, and assume strong realism with modem characteristics. The old and the new, and the traditional and the modem are integrated into one special artistic presentation in his works.
