摘要
通过简要回顾我国外宣翻译的不足并以中国劳动关系学院网站英译为例,总结了当前外宣翻译存在的主要问题:1、因汉、英民族不同的文化背景、价值观及思维方式差异产生的中式英语问题;2、因从业人员对外宣翻译认知不足及语言文化素质不齐出现的译文质量问题。同时还指出,外宣部门负责人及译者缺少责任心也是造成问题出现的重要因素之一。
This paper,through a brief analysis of the main problems existed in publicity-oriented Chinese-English(C-E) translation as well as in the English version of the website of China Institute of Industrial Relations,points out that the main causes resulting in the phenomenon are due to: 1) the differences of culture,value as well as mode of thinking between the Chinese and Western people,and 2) translators' lack of cognition to publicity-oriented C-E translation and their poor proficiencies of Chinese and English language.In addition,the professional sense of duty of both the translators and personnel taking charge of publicity-oriented C-E translation is also one of the critical factors for the current situation.
