摘要
For a long time, governance has been treated with great significance, a phenomenon that is not particular to the study of political science. As a matter of fact, governancerelated topics, such as good governance, public service, public accountability, and the forms of government, have inspired generations of scholars to do research on them, so as to find a better or improved path for human society. As Hamilton rightly comments in the Federalist Papers, it is important to decide "whether societies of men are capable of establishing good government by reflection and choice, or whether they are forever destined to depend for their political constitution on accident and force. " This issue of governance continues to attract scholarly attention in our age of globalization and digitalization. Therefore, it would be worthwhile to dig into the depth of digitalization to see how this might impact the way we govern ourselves. A series of conferences held at Fudan University recently may open up new horizons for academic research in this field.
