Study on the Channel and Heat Transfer Performance of Liquid Cold Plate Used for LED Module

摘要 针对大功率LED模块用液冷基板,通过理论分析,提出中间入口的S型流道、双S型流道和中间入口的双S型流道3种改进流道结构,并进行数值模拟。模拟结果表明,在相同的入口流速(流量)和入口水温下,中间入口的S型流道具有最佳的流动和换热综合性能;双S型流道性能次之;中间入口的双S型流道压降最小、且随入口流速增长缓慢,具有最佳的流动性能,提高流量时其散热性能可得到显著改善,因而流量可变时,该流道的综合性能最好。 For liquid cold plate used for LED module, on the basis of theoretical analysis, three new channels are put forward, which are S type with middle entrance port, bi-S type and bi-S-type with center entrance port. The flow and heat transfer characteristics of these channels are simulated. The simulation results show that at the same inlet flow velocity and inlet water temperature, the S type with middle-entrance port has the best comprehensive performance of flow and heat dissipation, that the bi-S type channel takes the second place, and that the bi-S type with center-entrance port has the best flow performance with the smallest pressure drop, which grows slowly as the inlet velocity increases. It is found that the heat transfer performance of bi-S type with center-entrance port cold plate can be significantly improved when inlet flow is increased. So if the flow rate is changeable, this type of channel will have the best comprehensive performance.
