From the Stone Age,jade pendant,which appeared in as early as the Stone Age,became one of the most unique types of jade wares and an important part of the ritual institution in the Western Zhou period.The western Guanzhong Plain has been a place where jade pendants are unearthed.A study of the historical origins,ideological content,artistic features and basic characteristics of the jade wares is significant to the interpretation of the formation of the culture of stressing jade.
