Objective To explore the clinical effect of a small incision and traditional open resection for thyroid resection. Methods 72 patients with benign thyroid disease were randomly divided into small incision thyroid resection group and traditional open thyroid resection group, including small incision of 30 cases of thyroid resection group, the traditional open 42 patients with thyroid resection group, compared two sets of patients at the time of the op- eration, and postoperative peri-operative bleeding and postoperative pain score led flow, length of hospital stay, 3 months after operation neck feel and incision satisfaction. Results The two groups of patients were performed suc- cessfully, compared with traditional open thyroid resection small incision thyroid resection had longer time, the opera- tion of less peri-operative bleeding and postoperative lead flow and postoperative pain score less light, the length of time was short, compared the indicators had statistically significant difference ( all P 〈 0.05 ). After 3 months follow-up results showed that patients in traditional open thyroid resection group appeared paresthesia, difficulty swallowing the neck was heavier, and degree of small incision thyroid after resection, incision, the above-mentioned higher scores sat- isfaction index comparative differences were statistically significant ( all P 〈 0.05). Conclusion Resection of small incision with thyroid small trauma, had quick recovery, less complications, in addition, postoperative pain advantages lighter, and incision was beautiful, and it was a safe and effective operation method.
