文化是一个矛盾体,文化自身的矛盾性就充斥在文化的存在和发展之中。从文化的演化方向角度看,文化发展既有进化,也有退化;从文化的空间展现角度看,文化通常表现为优化和劣化两种趋向;从文化进化论的立场看,文化存在先进与落后之分;从文化的价值评析角度看,文化的代价与效益并存。文化绝不是一种和谐的自我封闭的整体,而是充满了最为激烈的内部矛盾。人类只有在承认文化自身矛盾性的基础上,理性分析和正确解决文化矛盾,才能自觉地实现文化的大发展和大繁荣。

In the view of cultural evolution,development of culture not only contains evolution,but devolution.In the view of cultural space division,culture has two trends,optimization and degradation.In the view of cultural Darwinism,there are advanced culture and unenlightened culture.In the view of cultural evaluation,the costs of culture coexists with the benefits.Culture absolutely is not a harmonious self-reclusive noumenon,but a substance with most fierce contradictions inside.Only based on recognition of cultural internal contradictions and rational analysis,and dealing with the contradictions in culture correctly,then the Humanity could realize the great progress and prosper of culture self-consciously.
