摘要
孔子是中国历史上著名的的教育家和思想家之一,同时也是世界上第一个比较全面论述语言教育的人。但是他对语言思想的精辟论述在外语实践教学和研究中并没有得到重视。文章通过现代教学理论与心理学理论对孔子的教学智慧进行"认读",指出了很多现代西方语言研究成果和教学理论早在两千多年前就被孔子论述或践行过,并进一步探析了孔子的教学智慧在当今大学英语教学改革中的意义及其应用的办法。
Confucius was a great educationist and philosopher in ancient China,and the first man to maintain his points in arguments of language education.But his arguments about language have not been followed with interest by English teaching and research.This paper points out the fact that many achievements of language studies and teaching experience in western countries have been mentioned by Confucius,and then analyzes the significance of his teaching wisdoms and provides approaches to apply them to English teaching.
