The Understanding and Application of "Chinese Humanism Tradition" in Ikeda Daisaku's Thoughts

池田大作对中国传统文化进行创造性的转换,"中国人本主义传统"概念的提出就是其中的一个典范。池田大作认为"中国人本主义传统"包括四方面内容:以人为本的思考方式;强调人性善和天人合一;排除极端个人主义和大众享乐主义;关心民众,重视民生。池田大作许多思想如人学思想、人的革命思想等都受到"中国人本主义传统"思想的一定程度的启发。

Ikeda Daisaku makes creative transformation on Chinese traditional culture. One example is he put for- ward the concept “Chinese humanism tradition”. Ikeda Daisaku thinks that“ Chinese humanism tradition” includes four aspects ： people - oriented thinking which emphasizes the goodness of human nature and harmony between man and nature; exclusion of extreme individualism and mass hedonism and care about people, and attention to people livelihood. Many of Ikeda Daisaku＇ s many ideas such as humanism, people g revolutionary thoughts are inspired from “Chinese humanism tradition” to a certain extent.
