Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization of MMA in Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Ionic Liquids

摘要 分别以1-丁基-3-甲基咪唑六氟磷酸盐([Bmim]PF6)和氯化1-烯丙基-3-甲基咪唑([Amim]Cl)为反应介质,研究了MMA在均相体系([Bmim]PF6)和非均相体系([Amim]Cl)中的原子转移自由基聚合(ATRP)反应。结果表明:两种离子液体中反应均呈现一级反应特征,用四氯化碳作引发剂比用氯化苄(BzCl)的聚合速率和单体转化率高,非均相体系([Amim]Cl)中ATRP反应发生在离子液体相中,该体系中合成的聚合物分子量分布较窄,但聚合转化率较低。FT-IR和1H-NMR分析表明:离子液体的性质影响着聚合物的结构,非均相体系([Amim]Cl)中合成的聚合物结构较为规整。 Atom transfer radical polymerization(ATRP) of MMA was investigated using ionic liquids 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate(PF6) and 1-allyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride(Cl) as reaction medium.The polymerization of MMA in PF6 and Cl was formed homogeneous system and heterogeneous system,respectively.Results showed that the reaction in the two ionic liquids all present the linear first-order kinetic relationship.Conversion and polymerization rate with carbon tetrachloride as initiator were higher than that of benzyl chloride as initiator.ATRP reaction occurred in the phase of ionic liquid in heterogeneous system.PMMA obtained in heterogeneous system presented a narrower molecular weights distribution,but the monomer conversion was lower.FT-IR and 1H-NMR results confirmed that well-defined polymer was obtained in the heterogeneous system,which implied the property of the ionic liquids influenced the polymer structure.
