The Marriage of Poetry and Painting——Xu Zhimo and Western Post-impressionist Painting

徐志摩留学剑桥时在画家罗杰.弗莱的影响下开始接触西方后印象派绘画,从此与之结下了不解之缘,产生了"单纯的信仰"。他以极大的热情投入到了对后印象派绘画的引入和传播工作之中,广开渠道,多方宣传,除了参与组织画展,利用《新月》《美展》等"公共空间"介绍和传播外,还充分利用"私人空间"向画家和学生推介。不仅如此,长期的艺术熏陶,也使得后印象派绘画融入到了他的诗文创作中,并由此形成了独特的创作风格。

Xu zhimo began to contact the Western Post-impressionist Painting under the influence of painter Roger Fry when he had been studying in Cambridge.And since then he had indissoluble bond with it.He made several ways such as using ＂Crescent＂ and ＂Public Space＂ to introduce and spread the painting,in addition to his participation in the organization of painting-exhibition.Meanwhile,he also made full use of the ＂private space＂to recommend it to painters and students.Furthermore,with the long-term artistic influence,the post-impressionist painting was also mingled with his poem and prose creation,and at last his unique writing style was formed.
