TRADITION AND MODERNITY─-A CONSTANT FOCUS OF ARCHITECTURE

本文从建筑材料的地方性、建筑形式与地区生态气候环境适应性、传统建筑技术的生命力等方面对传统建筑的概念与内涵进行了重新定义，并从传统建筑与现代建筑融合的角度简要回顾了白俄罗斯建筑的发展过程，文章阐述了运用地方建筑材料、传统建筑技术、适应生态气候条件等本质问题是使建筑传统充满活力的基础。

This paper re-dsfines the traditional architecture from the locality of archithctural materials, the adaptability of the of architectural forms to the local ecological environment and vital force of traditional architectural technology. it also gives a brief review on the development process of the Belorussian architecture from the intercommunication between fraditional architecture and modern architecture. The author points out the essential issues. such as using the local architectural materials and traditional architectural technologies and adapting the local ecological environment, which are the bases to vitalize the architectural tradition.
