福克纳的"斯诺普斯三部曲"与美国南方骑士文化有着明显的互文关系。三部曲一方面吸收了一些南方骑士文化的元素,增强了作品的文化底蕴;另一方面也改写了作为南方骑士文化重要构成的"种植园小说"所建构的"南方骑士"形象,为南方文化注入了自我批评精神。
William Faulkner's Snopes Trilogy has apparent intertextual relations with Southern cavalier culture.This Trilogy absorbs elements of Southern cavalier culture,which enriches its cultural significance.Meanwhile,it also rewrites the image of 'Southern Cavalier' in traditional plantation fiction,which is at the core of Southern Cavalier culture,and thus it introduces self-criticism into Southern culture.
